Mike Bower, Tuks FM’s Programme Manager, says the changes aim to realign the station with its core audience. “Tuks FM wants to reach the youth of Pretoria by providing music and programming that is relevant to them. We are now playing a mix of Hip Hop, EDM, Pop and Alternative music. This is much more accessible to a wider audience than has been the case before. We are sending a message that we are for the youth, by the youth.”
Tuks FM will also host a relaunch event at 012 Central on 25 May. The station has partnered with an established brand, Kings of the Commune, for the relaunch, which is all about telling listeners and potential listeners what the new Tuks FM is about.
Check out Tuks FM’s social media pages for further details of the relaunch event, which features DJs including Bruce Loko and Abby Nurock for an electronic dance music extravaganza!
There will also be posters on all UP campuses from early May.
