Tuks FM, the University of Pretoria’s student radio station, continues to solidify its reputation as of the leaders in the student and community broadcasting space, celebrating an exceptional performance at the International Student Broadcasting Championship (ISBC) and the Telkom Radio Awards.

At the recent ISBC Tuks FM received three prestigious awards:

* Best Talk Presenter – Tshegofatso Makola

* Best Specialty Presenter – Tshepi Moji

* Best Social Media Execution – UP FM Rebrand Stunt

The station also earned the distinction of being named Runner-Up in the highly competitive Station of the Year category, underscoring its excellence across various facets of broadcasting.

Adding to this success, Tuks FM emerged victorious at the Telkom Radio Awards, held on 30 November 2024,

taking home four awards:

* Best Weekend Show – Tuks FM Top 40 with Neliswa Mhlongo

* Best Community Project – FLY@UP Thrift

* Best Daytime Show – Tuks FM Brunch with Zanele Ndala

* Best Promotions/Stunt Event – Freshers

These accolades highlight the station’s commitment to producing top-tier programming, fostering impactful community engagement, and delivering innovative content to its audience.
